Being righteous means that by our behavior we have been accepted by God. Noah was declared righteous by God through his behavior. He was blameless before God meaning he did right in Gods sight and he walked with God meaning he had a relationship with God (Genesis 6:9). Being righteous depends on faith.
Holy means to be separate. Set apart from sin with a high standard of moral character. It refers to our moral quality. When we apply the word to God it means that God has separated himself from sin.
Holy is referring to a person's character while righteousness is referring to a person's behavior.
