Doers
Psalms 119:12, "I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes forever, to the very end." Matthew 10:22, "And you will be hated by all for My Name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved." James 1:22, "But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." In Charles Stanley's book "Courageous Faith", he says, "Decide beforehand that you are going to obey God, regardless of what happens. You cannot wait until you're in the midst of a conflict to make this decision, because when the enemy is firing at you, you are more likely to react in your flesh than in a way that honors the Lord. So before the battle begins, be the kind of person who obeys God and puts the principles of His Word into practice. This alone will keep you before the throne of grace and in the center of His will" (page 190).
