Apocrypha: – Why Isn’t it in the Bible: Catholics will tell you, “You Protestants are missing part of the Bible. We have the rest of it.” This can throw people off, but it no longer has to. These false Catholic additions to the Bible are commonly called the Apocrypha or sometimes the Deuterocanonical books. The Apocrypha is a collection of uninspired, spurious books written by various individuals. The Catholic religion considers these books as scripture just like a Bible believer believes that our 66 books are the word of God, e.g. (Genesis to Revelation).

At the Council of Trent in 1546, the Roman Catholic religion pronounced the following apocryphal books sacred. (Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus, Baruch, First and Second Maccabees, Additions to Ester and Daniel). They asserted that the apocryphal books together with unwritten tradition are of God and are to be received and venerated as the Word of God. So now you have the Bible, the Apocrypha, and Catholic Tradition as co-equal sources of truth for the Catholic.

In reality, the Bible is the last source of truth for Catholics. Catholic doctrine comes primarily from tradition stuck together with a few Bible names. In the reading of Catholic materials, you will find notes like this: “You have to keep the Bible in perspective.” Catholics do not believe that the Bible is God’s complete revelation for man. RCC

  To deny that Roman Catholicism is a cult is to repudiate the reformation and mock the millions of martyrs who died at Rome's hands. The "Christ" of Roman Catholicism is just as false as its "Mary." Remember that a cult according to the Word of God is any group of people that worship anything or anyone other than Jesus Christ, and believe anything contrary to His word as recorded in the Bible.  Roman Catholicism is not truly Christian, but is in fact an offshoot of Christianity and the largest and oldest "Christian" cult in the world. In addition, the display of adoration, the gaudy parade of a mere man as if he were a god, the pandering to idolatrous worship through bowing down and kissing his ring, the insistence that he be addressed as "His Holiness the Pope" or "Father" of all Christians cannot but confirm to any Christian that the Roman Catholic church is a cult.

Christianity, on the one hand, was founded not as an institution, forcing the Name and Teachings of Jesus Christ upon submitting subjects, but as a witness to Christ, lifting Him up before the world. Jesus said:

“And I, if I be lifted up from the Earth, will draw all men unto me” (Jn. 12:32).

Catholic beliefs

Catechism 1793 of the Catholic Church states " if the ignorance is invincible, or the moral subject is not responsible for his erroneous judgment, the evil committed by the person cannot be imputed to him." Invincible means that ignorance cannot be overcome or conquered. This is not so. Granted all of us are ignorant about things. but if we want to find out about that thing we are no longer ignorant about it. 

They have taken John 9:41 completely out of context. Back in John 9:39 it says " And Jesus said, for judgment, I am come into this world, that they who see not might see: and they which see might be made blind." This means Christ is the Light and reveals the heart. Sinners and Publicans were able to see, while the Jews and the Pharisees were not although they claimed to be enlightened, they were not, because they had closed eyes. They were not blind the way we think of being blind.  They simply refused to believe. So blinded here means those who would not see.

Romans 1:20 says there is no excuse for not believing in God. The qualities of God can be seen in creation. Micah 6:8 also talks about ignorance not being an excuse. 

Catholocism

They have their verses from which they draw their conclusion... the problem is they don't seek GOD in obedience to guide their understanding... the whole issue of predestination is a stumbling block that people give their passions to instead of seeking to have as much of JESUS heart attitude as they can... if we can get people to see their need of growing toward HIS heart of LOVE then HIS LOVE will be seen as real by people in this world from profuse good works done from hearts giving GOD all Glory... HE WORD is written for GOD to reveal HIMSELF to this world through people seeing JESUS LOVE being real and active within the body of HIS believers.... we all have to be humble and seek GOD..... but those who have decided truth of the WORD without the LOVE of GOD guiding them into all truth as JESUS speaks of... those people are deceived ... don't you think?

Isis and Mithraism

The cult of Isis- mother-goddess religion in Egypt was absorbed into the Christian religion, and named Mary. Most titles used for Isis are now names for Mary. Names like “ Queen of Heaven’’, Mother of God”, and “God-bearer”. Mary’s role was exalted far beyond what is taught in the Bible in order to attract those who worshipped Isis. Most temples dedicated to Isis were then dedicated to Mary. These were the first clear hints of Catholic Mariology according to Origen. This man lived in Alexandria, Egypt. Alexandria was the main place for Isis worship.   

Mithraism was a religion in the Roman Empire from the 1^st- 5^th century AD. It was especially popular among the Roman soldiers. It was not the official religion, but it was the de facto official religion until Constantine and the Roman Emperors who succeeded him replaced it with their form of Christianity. One of the key features was eating the flesh and drinking the blood of a bull. This is called theophagy (eating one's god). Mithraism also had seven sacraments. There just too many similarities between Mithraism and Roman Catholicism to ignore. After Constantine, the church leaders found it easy to substitute the sacrificial meal of Mithraism with the Lord's supper. The  Roman’s had changed the Lord’s supper and made it a sacrificial consumption of Jesus. This is now known as mass/Eucharist.

Roman Catholic Church and The Holy Trinity

The Roman Catholic Church and most Protestants do describe the RCC as trinitarian, but the Trinity is very different. The way the RCC presents Jesus in the Eucharist, He is almost unrecognizable as being both human and divine. 
Their teachings about Mary appear to make her a part of the Trinity making it a quaternity, Father, Son, Holy Spirit and Mary. Mary is being elevated to the status of God in the RCC. They say this is just adoration for her which they say is only due to God. When put into practice it is the same as worshipping God. The works attributed to Mary are the same as the works of Christ, salvation from sin, redemption, and mediation. She ascended into heaven bodily and returned to earth bodily on several different occasions. Many miracles like Jesus performed have been attributed to her by the RCC.
The RCC teaching about the sacramental system controls as well as diminishes the work of the Holy Spirit. The gifts of the Spirit are not communicated to us when and where God chooses, but are transferred through oil in the sacrament of confirmation. The cleansing of sin is not given through faith, but only by the Holy water used in the sacrament of baptism.
We may be using the same word, but the meanings are totally different.

Scripture and Tradition together are the Word of God. Mary is the co-redeemer, for she participated with Christ in the painful act of redemption. Mary is the co-mediator, to whom we can entrust all our cares and petitions. Initial justification is by means of baptism. Adults must prepare for justification through faith and good works. Grace is merited by good works. Salvation is attained by cooperating with grace through faith, good works, and participation in the sacraments. No one can know if he will attain to eternal life. The Roman Catholic Church is necessary for salvation. Christ's body and blood exist wholly and entirely in every fragment of consecrated bread and wine in every Roman Catholic church around the world. The sacrifice of the cross is perpetuated in the sacrifice of the Mass. Each sacrifice of the Mass appeases God's wrath against sin. The sacrificial work of redemption is continually carried out through the sacrifice of the Mass.

Biblical Teaching Christ, the head of the body, rules the universal church (Colossians 1:18). God has entrusted revelation to the saints (Jude 3). God alone is infallible (Numbers 23:19; Acts 17:11). Scripture alone is the Word of God (John 10:35; 2 Timothy 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:20,21; Mark 7:1-13). Christ alone is the Redeemer, for He alone suffered and died for sin (1 Peter 1:18,19). Christ Jesus is the one mediator to whom we can entrust all our cares and petitions (1 Timothy 2:5; John 14:13,14; 1 Peter 5:7). Justification is by faith alone (Romans 3:28). God justifies ungodly sinners who believe (Romans 4:5). Good works are the result of salvation, not the cause (Ephesians 2:8-10). Grace is a free gift (Romans 11:6). Salvation is attained by grace through faith apart from works (Ephesians 2:10). The believer can know that he has eternal life by the Word of God and the testimony of the Holy Spirit who indwells believers (1 John 5:13; Romans 8:16). There is salvation in no one but the Lord Jesus Christ, “for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). The bread and wine are symbols of the body and blood of Christ, and He is bodily present in heaven (1 Corinthians 11:23-25; Hebrews 10:12,13). The sacrifice of the cross is finished (John 19:30). The once-for-all sacrifice of the cross fully appeased God's wrath against sin (Hebrews 10:12-18). The sacrificial work of redemption was finished when Christ gave His life for us on the cross (Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 1:3).

These doctrines don’t date back all the way to Constantine, except for perhaps in seed form, but were slowly adopted over many years as various popes issued decrees. In many cases, the doctrines are not even based on Scripture but on a document of the church. Most Roman Catholics consider themselves to be Christians and are unaware of the differences between their beliefs and the Bible. Sadly, the Roman Catholic Church has fostered that ignorance by discouraging the personal study of the Bible and making the people reliant on the priests for their understanding of the Bible.

Worship

The purpose of going to church is to learn sound biblical doctrine. The Catholic says grace is to be earned, in doing such a thing they have pretty much destroyed the foundation of the Bible.  The Bible says grace is not earned (Ephesians 2:8-9). The Roman Catholic church teaches many different doctrines that aren't in the Bible. These are apostolic succession, worship, and prayer to the saints and Mary, infant baptism, pope/papacy, transubstantiation, plenary indulgences, purgatory and the sacramental system. None of these teachings a solid foundation in the scriptures. These concepts are based on Catholic tradition and contradict the Bible.  

Another reason for attending church is for fellowship. Being devoted to and to honor each other (Romans 12:10), and teach each other (Romans 15:14), to be kind and to be compassionate (Ephesians 4:32), encouragement (1 Thessalonians 5:11), and, love each other (1 John 3:11). This might be possible if there are other born-again believers there. 

The church is a place to take part in the Lords supper. A non-Catholic is not allowed to take part. The reason for communion is to remember the death of Jesus (Matthew 26:28; Luke 22:19; 1 Corinthians 11:26. When taking communion in a Catholic church means that the person agrees and believes in transubstantiation. Most Protestants disagree with the Catholic communion.  

Another purpose is prayer (Acts 2:42). Catholics pray to Mary and the saints. The Catholics believe that doing this is more effective than praying to God directly. This not biblical (Hebrews 4:16). All of us are saints and priests (Romans 1:7; 1 Peter 2:5). Jesus is our High Priest (Hebrews 4:14) and that He is our only mediator (1 Timothy 2:5). 

Why would a true Christian take part in these false teachings? It would be difficult if not impossible to worship God in a Catholic church.
