The Mary in which Catholics worship is not the Mary of the Bible. Biblically, Mary was only human. God chose her to be a vessel to bring His beloved Son into the world. But Roman Catholics bow down to statues of Mary, exonerate and venerate her more than Christ Jesus.
In Exodus 20:4,5 God said, "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them..." Mary would never be a part of this! She was not there when Christ created the universe. Christ was God long before she was ever born. Bowing to Mary is a sin!

Religion
"The English word "religion" is etymologically derived from the Latin word religo, meaning to "bind up." Religion binds people up in rules and regulations or in ritualistic patterns of devotion.
Christianity was never meant to be a religion. Christianity is the dynamic spiritual life of the risen Lord Jesus indwelling the spirit of man so as to create functional behavior to the glory of God. Granted, men have attempted to force Christianity into the molds and forms of religion. That is evident by all the steeples and sanctuaries and ecclesiastical programs that dot the landscape of our society......It is the propensity of man to formulate religion to take that which is of the invisible God and attempt to make it visible, tangible and controllable. Man-made religion! The apostle Paul refers to it as "self-made religion" (Colossians 2:23), and goes on to indicate that it is of no value against fleshly indulgence. In essence, Paul is saying that "religion is of no value against man's sinfulness." In fact, religion is a co-dependent enabler of the sins of mankind. It is itself an addiction.

When the apostle Paul came to Athens (Acts 17:22), he observed their idols and exclaimed, "Men of Athens, I observe that you are very religious in all respects." Psalms 23 explained
King David, himself a former shepherd, begins this Psalm with, “The LORD is my shepherd,” immediately putting himself as a sheep in the care of Jesus Christ (who is the same being as the Lord of the Old Testament-see John 1:1-3, 14 and Heb. 1:2). This analogy of Christ as a shepherd and His chosen ones as sheep, is reinforced in several scriptures, especially in John 10, John 21:15-17 and Hebrews 13:20. The shepherd is the provider and protector of his flock. The sheep are helpless without him. Similarly, human existence is but a sinful, carnal experience without God in our lives (John 5:30; Rom. 8:6-11).
Continuing with, “I shall not want,” David indicates here that as a sheep in Christ’s care, he was confident that he would lack nothing. This sentiment is repeated in Psalms 34:9-10, and clearly indicates David’s understanding in regards to putting God and God’s way first in his life (see Matthew 6:25-34). He goes on to write, “He makes me to lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters.” Both the “green pastures” and “still waters” indicate a blessed abundance, further illustrating the benefits of a God-led life.
Psalm 23:3 begins, “He restores my soul.” David understood that he was a sinner, but also that Christ had redeemed him and would continue to restore him upon repentance. Psalm 51 is a good example showing David’s understanding of repentance and forgiveness.

Returning to the sheep and shepherd analogy, David continues, “he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake,” indicating that it is Christ’s example that we are to follow (i.e. copy), and that it to God’s glory when we obey. Yet is only through the power of the Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ in us, that we are even able to do so (Gal. 2:20; Phil. 4:13). In Psalm 119:172, David defines righteousness as, “…all Your commandments are righteousness.”
From personal experience, David knew that occasionally the shepherd had to lead his flock through treacherous terrain, and so he writes (as the sheep), “Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff they comfort me.” Again, David had complete trust and confidence in God and His way—He had no fear, even in the “shadow of death.” The rod and staff are the shepherd’s tools, and are used to guide and correct the path of the sheep—much in the same way God has to oftentimes guide, and occasionally correct, our path. This comforted David. Paul indicates in II Timothy 1:7 that this mindset comes only from God: “For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
Even among enemies, David had complete confidence: “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies: You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.” He understood the promises of blessings and protections (Eph. 3:20; Luke 11:9-13; compare though with James 4:1-3).

Christianity and Catholicism
What do we mean when we say “Christianity” and “Catholicism”?Catholics consider themselves Christian? Yes, they do. But Christianity and Catholicism are not the same.
Christianity, on the one hand, was founded not as an institution, forcing the Name and Teachings of Jesus Christ upon submitting subjects, but as a witness to Christ, lifting Him up before the world. Jesus said:
“And I, if I be lifted up from the Earth, will draw all men unto me” (Jn. 12:32).
It was Christ, not Christianity, who had the power to change lives.

Is it wrong for a Christian to own a liquor store
That will do much harm to one's Christian witness. Liquor stores also provide easy access to those who abuse alcohol. These two things alone present a colossal problem for a Christian. Ephesians 5:18 tells us not to be drunk with wine (alcohol) where is in excess but be filled with the Holy Spirit. This is speaking of moderation. Titus 2 11-13 says, "For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. Training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ."
God wants Christians to live a sober life. He does not want us to be a stumbling block to our neighbor Romans 4:21 says, "It is not good to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother to stumble."
I believe that a Christian should not entertain the idea of owning a liquor store.
