Away back in the Middle Ages people used to go on pilgrimages to the Holy Land, and when people in the villages through which they passed asked where they were going, they would reply, 'A la sainte terre,' 'To the Holy Land.' The merciful

The most fundamental aspect in our relationship with God is mercy. We only have a relationship with God because of His tremendous mercy. Without it we are estranged from it.
We received it and we are to show it to others. Those who refuse it receive God's judgement. The ruthless, cruel, inhumane and purely evil do not show mercy to others. They live in open rebellion against God and will not receive mercy from God in the end.
