Lying

Is lying acceptable… sometimes?”
But the woman had taken the two men and hidden them, and she said, "Yes, the men came to me, but I did not know where they were from. "It came about when it was time to shut the gate at dark, that the men went out; I do not know where the men went. Pursue them quickly, for you will overtake them." (Joshua 2:4-5 NASB)
This is a conte, “Yes, she’s under the bed,” then he would be enabling her murder. What would he say if he’s forced at gunpoint to watch while the gunman rapes his wife before murdering her: “Sorry, honey; I didn’t want to tell a lie”?

These scenarios are often brought up by the unsaved to justify lying. But God knows the difference between incidents like these to protect the life of innocent victims, the use of “discretion” to protect someone’s feelings, and bold, deceitful lies to protect ourselves

Infant baptism
was originated in the Roman Catholic conquest with Constantine. It was started when people defeated were required to join the Church. It was perpetuated when that Church taught that baptism removed pre-conversion sin, and that conversion could not take place until original sin was covered. Sin

The Bible teaches us that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, Roman's 3:23. But the Bible also teaches us that God sent His Son to die for our sins and that whoever believes in Him will be forgiven for their sins, John 3:16. Jesus said to believe and to repent. To repent means to turn from sin, to stop sinning. When we do sin after we have believed in Jesus the Bible says to acknowledge our sin to God and He will cleanse us of our sin, 1 John 1:9. This keeps us in fellowship with God after we have been forgiven. We will always struggle with temptation and sin, but we don't have to live in sin. Living in sin is a choice people make who are in rebellion against God. Jesus told one woman caught in sin to go and sin no more. I have heard some people try to justify sin because we all do sin. The truth is that they don't want to turn from their sin. Jesus said to believe and to turn from sin. Many people refuse to do this because they want to live life their way and not God's way. Don't worry about what others choose to do, because each of us are responsible for what we do. Don't worry about what hypocrites do because we answer for what we do. Each of us has to work out or live out our own salvation no matter what the other person does. We all do sin, but we can avoid sin by submitting to God and being strengthened by His Holy Spirit.
