Roger Duterte is Sanctioning Murder in the Philippines

Prayer

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, we need to be strong in the Lord. We need to be growing in the Word. We need to spend time in prayer and fasting. We need to come together in fellowship and worship. Our nation is in trouble. It doesn't matter who the president is. If our nation doesn't repent of sin, then our nation will suffer serious consequences. God will not ignore sin. He is Holy. He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. That's serious business. God didn't take it lightly. If our nation ignores that then we could cease to be a nation. I believe that Donald Trump can do some good and improve things, but he needs your prayers. He can't do anything without God's help. Jesus is and always will be our only true hope. If our nation continues in sin then we have lost our nation. Read, study, and memorize your Bible while you can. If they ever succeed in taking away our guns, then don't be shocked if some day they come after your Bible. Read your Bible so you know how God wants you to live and how He can help you. He loves you, but Satan is active in our world trying to destroy you. If you don't read your Bible regularly then you are at a big disadvantage. Brothers and sisters in Christ, the Bible says to grow in the Lord and to study the Word and to come together as God's people for prayer, fellowship, and worship. Please take this seriously while you still can because someday you may loose this privilege. Amen.

Alcohol

Getting drunk is a sin, but what about drinking in moderation? Drinking alcohol has been the subject of debate within the church for centuries, but never more so than in recent years. With the shift toward postmodernism, practices that were once discouraged by the Christian community have been embraced and even promoted. The open consumption of alcohol is one of those practices. In Bible times, anyone set apart for God was to totally abstain from any fruit of the vine (Judges 13:4Leviticus 10:9Numbers 6:3Luke 1:15). Wine was often symbolic of worldly contamination, and those called into priestly service were to keep themselves from it. Such warnings have led many followers of Christ to forgo alcohol altogether, deeming any use of it unwise. Although drinking in moderation is not condemned in Scripture, there are many warnings about its destructive nature (Proverbs 20:131:4). So why does the Bible speak so strongly against becoming affected by alcohol?  Ephesians 5:18 holds the key: “Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.” Two elements are being compared: alcohol and the Holy Spirit. Each has the power to take control of a person’s mind and behavior—with vastly different results. Getting drunk leads to a loss of self-control; being filled with the Spirit leads to more self-control (Galatians 5:22–23). We cannot be controlled by both alcoholic spirits and the Holy Spirit at the same time. When we choose to ingest mind-altering substances, we are effectively choosing to give ourselves over to the control of something other than the Holy Spirit. Anything that takes control of our mind, will, and emotions is a false god. Any master we obey other than the Lord is an idol, and idolatry is sin (1 Corinthians 10:14).

The real terrorist

Want to know the real truth? Who has done more to destroy this nation than anyone else . . . .
Almost anybody in America can give you some kind of a listing of the most destructive acts of terror that have happened in our country. But let me suggest to you this: The two greatest attacks of terror on America were perpetrated by the Supreme Court. Not by any Muslim, but by the Supreme Court of the United States. The first one was the legalizing of abortion. Subsequent to that, there have been millions of babies slaughtered in the wombs of their mothers. It’s incalculable to even comprehend that. The blood of those lives cries out from the ground for divine vengeance on this nation.
The second great act of terror perpetrated by the Supreme Court was the legalization of same-sex marriage. The destruction of human life in the womb—in a sense, the destruction of motherhood—and now the destruction of the family itself. No bomb, no explosion, no attack, and no assault on people physically can come anywhere near that kind of terrorism. Our country is being terrorized by the people most responsible to protect it—those who are to uphold the law.
No human court has the authority to redefine morality. But this human court has said murder is not murder; and marriage is not marriage; and family is not family. They have usurped the authority that belongs only to God, who is the creator of life, marriage, and family. Any and all attempts to define morality differently than God has is a form of rebellion and blasphemy—blasphemy against God, against His holy nature, and His holy law, and His holy people.

Salvation

How you see God is how you experience His salvation, or eternal life in Christ Jesus. As we see in Psalm 91, seeing God as our deliverer entitles us to these benefits such as divine protection from disease, from harm, walking in divine protection (in all your ways, verse 11), etc. God said in verse 14 that He would deliver us and set us on High because we call upon Him and recognize Him.

Doers

Psalms 119:12, "I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes forever, to the very end." Matthew 10:22, "And you will be hated by all for My Name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved." James 1:22, "But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." In Charles Stanley's book "Courageous Faith", he says, "Decide beforehand that you are going to obey God, regardless of what happens. You cannot wait until you're in the midst of a conflict to make this decision, because when the enemy is firing at you, you are more likely to react in your flesh than in a way that honors the Lord. So before the battle begins, be the kind of person who obeys God and puts the principles of His Word into practice. This alone will keep you before the throne of grace and in the center of His will" (page 190).

Why is God described as God Most High?

Why is God described as God Most High?: Why is God described as God Most High? What are the Hebrew words that are translated God Most High or Lord Most High?

The devils big lie

I want to share with you what John MacArthur said about the law and works as compared to righteousness by faith. Specifically, he's addressing Galatians 3:21-24 and I want to pickup there with his conclusion:
"But in Galatians 3:21 it says, “The law is not able to impart righteousness. The law is not able to impart life.” And then Galatians 3:24, “The law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, that we may be justified by faith.”
"[We] can’t be justified by works. All the law does is condemn you and escalate your sinfulness by expanding the categories and becoming literally a solicitation to do evil. The law increases the reality of sin, increases the awareness of sin, and increases the desire to sin. That’s completely contrary to what religions of works tell you, that somehow there is in you the power to overcome your Adamic fallenness and do good, good enough to please God. That is the devil’s big lie."

Heresy

In the ordinary course of secular life, heresy was of little consequence; one person's opinion or choice about most things in life is just as good as another's. A person can be given any number of alternatives, any one of which he may be perfectly free to believe. However, in Christianity we are dealing with revelation, with God-given truth, with absolutes. When God's truth comes to men, we either have to accept or reject it. Thus, a heretic is a man who believes what he wishes to believe instead of accepting the truth of God that he ought to believe.

What is meant by the favor of God? How can I get the favor of God?

What is meant by the favor of God? How can I get the favor of God?: What is meant by the favor of God? How can I get the favor of God? What is God's favor? What does it mean to have the favor of God?

Compassion

Sometimes people want to do better with their lives, but they're trapped in their habits & addictions. When you see "the least of these," remember two important things: One: You're only a few bad breaks from being in the same position. And God is not finished with them yet. We are all works in progress, so show some compassion and have a heart .
As difficult as it has been, as much pain as you have endured, take heart in this: Someone is watching you. Someone is drawing on your strength and learning how to remain faithful in spite of adversity. You are someone's hero, the reason they get out of bed each morning. Imagine: Even on your worst day, God is using you to bless others.

God and you

God is EVERYWHERE, including INSIDE YOU. So try this on: If you believe in God, believe also in yourself. After all, you were created in HIS image and likeness. And if that sounds like a big pill to swallow, you'll love this: GOD BELIEVES IN YOU! God has ULTIMATE faith in your ability to be Christ-like here on Earth. If you can BELIEVE that GOD BELIEVES IN YOU, Heaven awaits . . . shout it out!
