Blood, Sweat

Hematidrosis is a rare, but very real, medical condition that causes one’s sweat to contain blood. The sweat glands are surrounded by tiny blood vessels that can constrict and then dilate to the point of rupture, causing blood to effuse into the sweat glands. The cause of hematidrosis is extreme anguish. In the other gospel accounts, we see the level of Jesus’ anguish: “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death” (Matthew 26:38Mark 14:34).

1970's

 The Seventies Some Tidbits

The decade of the Seventies shows more than any other what happens when inflation goes out of control with prices, wages, interest rates and unemployment and most of the problems could be traced back to one thing that was a major factor OIL Crisis related to the war in the Middle East . At the worst time in mid 70's 1974 Inflation in the US was 11.3% and in the UK 1974 inflation was 24.3% And Interest rates ranged as high as 14.2%.
Most things goods and services doubled in price in just one decade

In 1970 a new house cost $23,400.00 and by 1979 was $58,500.00
In 1970 the average income per year was $9,350.00 and by 1979 was $17,550.00
In 1970 a gallon of gas was 36 cents and by 1979 was 86 cents
But the 70's gave us much more than just raging inflation and high interest rates
The US pulled out of Vietnam
The Watergate Scandal
A new genre of music appeared called Progressive rock featuring the likes of Genesis, Yes, Emerson, Lake & Palmer and Pink Floyd. Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Queen, Black Sabbath
The 70's also started using the tools invented in the 60's needed for the digital revolution including the transistor, and Integrated Circuits making things cheaper and more powerful ranging from Calculators to Televisions and the birth of the Home Computer and video games
One other important change which was also caused by the Oil Crisis was the quick uptake of cars from Japan which had smaller engines providing better gas mileage both in Europe and the US
With the 70's came a new generation of passenger aircraft capable of carrying many more passengers ( 747 ) making air travel cheaper and allowing the ordinary family to explore much further afield for holidays.
We can not discuss the 70's without including the liberation of women and the sexual revolution that allowed a more open discussion of anything to do with SEX
With the change in music came a new revolution in fashions carrying on from the more liberal ideas of the 60's of what was acceptable clothing

Forgivenesss always

When Jesus died on the cross He took all of our sins upon Himself. The Bible assures us God's forgiveness is not limited to what we remember (Romans 8:26-27; Psalm 19:12).

Exorcism

Exorcism was practiced by various people in the gospels and the book of Acts. The disciples in (Matthew 10); others using Christs' name (Mark 8:38); the children of the Pharisees (Luke 11:18-19); Paul in (Acts 16); and certain exorcists (Acts 19:11-16). It seems that the purpose in Jesus's disciples performing exorcisms was to show Christ's dominion over the demons (Luke 10:17) and to verify that the disciples were acting in His bane by His authority. Also, it revealed their faith or lack of (Matthew 17:14-21). Miracles can be counterfeited (2 Thessalonians 2:9). Jesus said that some who are not truly His may still perform miraculous signs- including exorcisms- in His name.

Romans-Jude also known as teaching portions of the New Testament refer to demonic activity but dues discuss casting them out nor does it exhort us to. We are told to put on the armor to stand against it (Ephesians 6:10-18).  Were told to resist the devil (James 4:7), to be careful of him (1 Peter 5:8), and bot to make room for him in our lives (Ephesians 4:27). We are not told how to cast the devil or his demons out of others or that we should even consider doing that.

As the Word of God was completed Christians had more weapons to battle the spirit world than did the early Christians. Casting out demons was replaced, for the most part, with evangelism and discipleship through God's Word. Since the methods of spiritual warfare in the New Testament do not involve casting out demons, it is difficult on how to do such a thing, or whether it is even necessary to do it.  It seems that it through exposing the individual to the truth of the Word of God and Jesus Christ.

RCC

To deny that Roman Catholicism is a cult is to repudiate the reformation and mock the millions of martyrs who died at Rome's hands. The "Christ" of Roman Catholicism is just as false as its "Mary." Remember that a cult according to the Word of God is any group of people that worship anything or anyone other than Jesus Christ, and believe anything contrary to His word as recorded in the Bible.  Roman Catholicism is not truly Christian, but is in fact an offshoot of Christianity and the largest and oldest "Christian" cult in the world. In addition, the display of adoration, the gaudy parade of a mere man as if he were a god, the pandering to idolatrous worship through bowing down and kissing his ring, the insistence that he be addressed as "His Holiness the Pope" or "Father" of all Christians cannot but confirm to any Christian that the Roman Catholic church is a cult.

Civil War costs

In 1879 the U.S. government released the official estimate of the cost of the Civil War as six billion one hundred ninety million dollars. That is one hundred forty- five billion eight hundred forty-one million nine hundred eighty-eight thousand five hundred forty- six dollars and thirteen cents in today's money. That's 2,256.1 percent increase in inflation since 1879. The Confederate side spent about half that amount. Over one million lives were lost total on both sides due to military engagements, naval battles, accidents, suicide's, sicknesses, murders, and executions. By 1905 another 3.3 billion dollars (87 billion 271 million 544 dollars, and 44 cents in today's money) was spent on pensions and other Federal benefits. Southern states and private philanthropy provided benefits to Confederate veterans. The amount spent on benefits eventually exceeded the cost of the war.

Patience

God placed difficult people in your life for a reason: For you to practice what you say you believe. Without obnoxious people, how would you practice patience? Without mean people, how could you develop unconditional love? Without those who needlessly wrong you, how would you master forgiveness?

A false religion

The most crucial problem with the Roman Catholic Church is its belief that faith alone in Christ is not sufficient for salvation. The Bible clearly and consistently states that receiving Jesus Christ as Savior, by grace through faith, grants salvation (John 1:123:16,18,36Acts 16:31Romans 10:9-10,13Ephesians 2:8-9). The Roman Catholic Church rejects this. The official position of the Roman Catholic Church is that a person must believe in Jesus Christ AND be baptized AND receive the Eucharist along with the other sacraments AND obey the decrees of the Roman Catholic Church AND perform meritorious works AND not die with any mortal sins AND etc., etc., etc. Catholic divergence from the Bible on this most crucial of issues, salvation, means that yes, Catholicism is a false religion. If a person believes what the Catholic Church officially teaches, he/she will not be saved. Any claim that works or rituals must be added to faith in order for salvation to be achieved is a claim that Jesus’ death was not sufficient to fully purchase our salvation.

Since the body cannot be separated from your self-being, How do you take care and respect it?

1 Corinthians 10:31(ESV) So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (ESV) Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, then God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.

1 Timothy 4:8 (ESV) For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

Proverbs 11:17 (ESV) A man who is kind benefits himself, but a cruel man hurts himself.

3 John 1:2 (ESV) Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.

The Bible does not tell us in so many words how to take care of ourselves but it assumes everyone will. Mark 31:12 tells us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. It commands husbands to love their wives as their own bodies (Ephesians (5:28-29).

Sevanthood

Romans 8:14 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God they are the sons of God."

When God divinely clarifies Scripture to make it understandable to us and divinely enables us to obey Scripture. When the Spirit leads a person in these ways they can be assured God has adopted them into His family.

The Spirit within us makes us God's children.

All born-again Christians are God's servants. A servant is someone who carries out the will of another. A servant of the Lord is one who fulfills God's will. The Bible has a lot to say about servanthood.

John 1:18

"There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love." - 1 John 4:18

When we experience God's love in our lives and share it with others, we do not need to fear. The future punishment that awaits those who do not believe does not concern the ""abiding"" believer. The two-way relationship of God's love in our lives gives us confidence and security. The ability to live out His love is a sign of our faith in Him, and the way for us to follow His will in order to gain eternal rewards.
Fear is associated with punishment. The believer has been fully forgiven of sins. The one who knows Christ in true fellowship lives for Him and does not need to fear future punishment. The person who experiences fear ""has not been perfected in love."" In other words, those who fear punishment don't have a complete or mature relationship with God. This certainly applies to unbelievers, but can also include believers who are not growing in Christ. It is the growing, maturing believer who can look forward to the future with joy rather than fear.

Sex

“Why would a God make sex pleasurable and part of human nature just to control and condemn it?”

Why would car makers put brakes and steering wheels in their cars and recommend that we use them? For those who can’t figure that out, it’s for our own good. If we want the pleasure of owning and driving a car, use the brakes and stay on the right side of the road.
God made the first couple naked and commanded them to have sex. That’s a little embarrassing, but it’s true. He also told us to use self-control and stay on the right side of the road. Sex is for one man and one woman, within the bounds of marriage…for the purpose of pleasure and to make more people.
If we violate the rules we will have guilt, STDs, unwanted pregnancies, abortions, superficial relationships, plus the really big negative—we will not enter the Kingdom of God (see 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
So God doesn’t “control” or “condemn” sex. He says not to fornicate. If you don’t control your urge and fornicate, you become a fornicator and you condemn yourself to Hell.
So get saved, get married, and enjoy the glorious gift that God so graciously gave.

Judgement

There are people who want to remove the words male and female from the dictionary. The Bible says that God made us male and female. This whole thing goes back to one issue called rebellion against God and His established order. The Bible says it is appointed to man once to die and after this the judgment. God will hold us “all” accountable for how we live our lives, but God also sent us His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins. Through Jesus, we can receive God’s grace and forgiveness. The Bible says that “all” have sinned so unless we “all” turn to Jesus and place our faith in Him then we will not be forgiven and spend eternity in Hell. Gay, straight, homosexual, heterosexual, white or black we are all lost without Jesus and must pray to God and ask Jesus into our hearts and repent (turn) from our sins. We live in a world where Satan is trying to program our minds against God. Ephesians 6:10-18 tells us that we are in a spiritual battle. We need to open our eyes and realize Satan is our enemy and wants to turn us against God’s established order. Saying that your this or that does not excuse your sin. Creating laws to protect your rights does not excuse your sin. Man’s laws do not go above God’s rule. God will always be God and sin will always be sin no matter what we call it. God offers us forgiveness for our sins and calls us to repent and turn from our sin. We will be held accountable on judgment day and trusting Jesus as our Savior is God’s plan of forgiveness.

Battles of the Christian

Ephesians 6:12 (KJV) " For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places".

This verse describes the spiritual battle that takes place in the life of believers. Paul tells us our battle is spiritual not physical.
